Sooner or later, every hypnotist will experience interruptions. These can include loud sounds, coughing, fire drills, and really anything at all!
The key to properly handling hypnosis session interruptions is all up to how you respond to them. Use your calm presence to model proper behavior for your clients, at all times your attitude should be the following :
"I know exactly what to do"
When your clients feel safe and comfortable in your office, and you offer the confidence of knowing exactly what do to even with interruptions, your clients will still have a great session.
The underlying message of this episode is that YOU - the hypnotist - have the control regarding clients react to interruptions. If you are calm and assured of yourself and the process, clients will be as well. This is why really good self-care and a regular self-care practice like self-hypnosis is vital to a thriving hypnosis business. For every situation thrown our way, we know exactly what to do.
Remember the famous saying "In any system, the one with the most flexibility wins". Be flexible in your office with clients and it will provide the most value to them, including how to handle any interruptions.
With love,
Erika
