In this video, Cal and I share insight on how and why helping professionals such as doctors and nurses, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, etc., all of the professionals who do “hands-on” work can use hypnosis to get results for their clients and grow their practice.
In our last video, we focused “talkers,” the helping professionals who talk; such as psychologists, social workers, and counselors. This time we are still discussing how helping professionals can use hypnosis in their practices, but now we are talking about helping professionals who work on the body.
As hypnotists, we share a commonality with helping professionals, both those who doing talking and those who do body work, and that is that we do what we do to help our clients get results.
Hypnosis is real and has been scientifically validated and this is causing those in the helping profession, such as medicine to now take a serious look at adding hypnosis to the work they are doing with their clients and patients.
*Note: all hypnosis should be used properly within the scope of practice of the professional. Hypnosis is always an opt-in service that our clients choose to partake in, commonly in a specific, and separate session dedicated to hypnosis.
The brain can have a huge impact on how people respond to medical treatment. For example, in massage therapy, patients can have emotional or mental blocks that keep them from physically being able to relax or release tension. Hypnosis could be used in a separate session with clients who have opted in to the approach, to tap into the subconscious and release the things that are holding them back. This approach can provide really comprehensive help and get greater results.
We also see a lot of massage therapists who end up transitioning full time to a hypnosis practice - happy to continue to help their clients in a new way that isn’t so physically demanding.
Many helping professionals share the same common misconceptions about hypnosis as the general public. In this video, we address those common concerns talk about how and why you as a helping professional might want to consider adding 5-PATH® hypnosis to your practice.
We firmly believe that adding a hypnosis system to your practice allows for greater results and the opportunity for every single session to become a breakthrough.
Clients and patients seek out helping professionals because when they need help, whether it is something physical, emotional or mental. All helping professionals have specialized skills, knowledge, and education to help clients and patients with specific issues. But hypnosis, when trained and used properly, is a tool that helping professionals can utilize to help their clients and patients even more, and get even greater results.

Helping professionals, whether they are talkers or bodyworkers, they want to know that hypnosis is real.
We have talked about this topic numerous times because unfortunately there are just many things that the general public gets wrong about hypnosis or doesn’t understand, such as the common questions about if hypnosis is like mind control or if getting hypnotized means, you’re going to make them “cluck like a chicken or bark like a dog.”
Just as people have asked me “If I get hypnotized, are you going to make me cluck like a chicken?”, helping professionals have asked me “Am I going to have to make my clients cluck like a chicken?”
Helping professionals are in the same boat as the general public, and many questions and concerns regarding hypnosis, such as:
Is the hypnosis done in the office the same as used in stage hypnosis?
Is hypnosis safe as used in the hypnosis office?
Can your clients be hypnotized?
Who is hypnosis appropriate for? Is it appropriate for their clients?
How will hypnosis integrate into what I am doing?
When would I use hypnosis with my clients?
Why is 5-PATH® a great hypnosis system for helping professionals?
How much training does it take to become certified in 5-PATH® hypnosis?
Hypnotists and helping professionals share the same goal, and that is to help their clients get results and feel better. We all want the same thing, so don’t let misconceptions or concerns about hypnosis keep you from getting your clients the best possible results. Get informed about the truth about hypnosis, add a hypnosis system to your practice in a safe and considerate way, usually in separate sessions from your existing work. Then use the power of hypnosis to get past those emotional and mental blocks and provide your clients and patients with the greatest possible results.
I look forward to seeing you in class! Let's help people lead better lives with hypnosis.
From my heart to yours,
