In my practice, I've noticed a fascinating trend...
My clients who get massive results always report that they started sleeping better.
AND...
Sleeping better has actually helped keep them stay on the upward spiral of transformation - following through and integrating the changes more successfully into their lives!
They always learned about their sleep in the process too.
When sleep improves, everything else falls into place—dreams can resurface, stress diminishes, and self-talk becomes more positive.
The truth is I didn't always focus on sleep. But what I started noticing is that it became a clear indicator of clients positive transformation.
So I started incorporating good sleep as a cornerstone of part of my work with all clients.
It also became apparent that clients who weren't sleeping well have a harder time making the changes last, even though the hypnosis sessions were super insightful and helpful.
Our clients do get really great insights in a single session. However, getting those changes to stick and integrate them into their life always takes a little more time - and definitely more than one session.
Better sleep always helps our clients along on their journey of transformation in far-reaching ways.
When we address some of the ongoing stress in their life, reduce the negative self-talk, and help them to find ways to sleep better - it's a home run that ripples throughout their life!
So now...
Three areas that I am addressing with every client no matter what they come to see me for are:
And I'm teaching more on these three key areas specifically because they are so important for lasting success.
Once we start sleeping better, everything improves.
There's a lot of things that we can do hypnotically that really impact our ability to sleep, because there's a lot of things going on in the mind that are preventing us from sleeping well.
Some of that is self-talk and the language we use around sleep.
"I'm a terrible sleeper."
"I've never gotten good sleep."
"I haven't slept well since the accident...."
There is some validity to the way people talk about their sleep and the factors at play.
And what's true needs to be validated, addressed, loved upon, and really worked through emotionally.
Then there's going to be some erroneous information as well we can help clarify and adjust with powerful hypnosis.
Redirecting the mind's energy and inviting it to rest consciously are key to achieving restful sleep.
For the overthinking mind, it's not really calm or rest as much as satisfying or fulfilling the overthinking mind,
We might be thinking about a certain thing too often - and the mind is going to think!
So a good way to to think about this is to help redirect some of that energy.
We're going to invite the conscious mind to rest.
For example - powerful metasuggestions can give our clients' overthinking minds permission to do some of its thinking at the subconscious and unconscious levels.
Until next time, wishing you restful sleep, and I look forward to seeing you in the hypnosis classroom!
