1:37 - Erika and Cal mention the importance of congruence

2:05 - The first thing people do wrong is talk way too slow! Pace is important.

People have changed a lot in the last 75 years. 75 years ago most people listened to radio shows and there were only 4 or 5 tv stations if you were lucky enough to have a TV. But now-a-days our attention moves very quickly with instant streaming, instant access to millions of resources on the internet, and podcasts galore.

6:04 - Erika discusses how important it is to follow the instructions with your client, especially during the induction. When you ask them to take a deep breath, you do too.

8:00 - Tone is the second most important thing. You can have a normal speed with a very relaxed and calm tone. If clients are going through AR or catalepsy, you might want a little firmer tone to match the intensity of clenching your fist, or exploring a difficult moment in AR.

10:45 - #3 is congruence. Congruence is when your tone matches your words. If I shout "relax!" at you, you're not likely to relax. In AR we might change our voice to match the age the client is at that stage of AR.

Repeating things your client has said before is another powerful way to practice congruence, because you're using your client's own words so you know they already resonate with what's being said.
