Experience NGH Solid Gold 2020 in Las Vegas with Erika Flint

by Cascade Hypnosis on

I had an amazing time this February 23rd and 24th, as hypnotists from around the country gathered in Las Vegas to share their expertise and passion for helping the world with hypnosis. It’s incredible to be surrounded by individuals with a mutual enthusiasm for seeing how far the benefits of hypnotism can reach in our different communities. I was one of five professional presenters, one of my grads become board certified, and I learned SO MUCH from these great people! Here are a few of my favorite highlights:

Guest Speakers

Reverend Scot Giles gave a great presentation on Ericksonian-Style Hypnotism. The patter "my voice will go with you" is an important suggestion and cornerstone of his work. Suggesting the positive words and message will always be there to help guide and support clients, and then also integrate and transform into the greater part of them.

Some details about Erickson:

  • Survived polio at age 17, and later Post-Polio Syndrome

  • Crippled, color blind (could only see purple), Dyslexic

  • Used self-hypnotic behavioral rehearsal to reintegrate his CNS using body memories!!!!

  • Excellent at observing others!

His experiences are incredible, and I was thankful to get to hear him speak with such strong enthusiasm.

The deeply compassionate and excellent story teller and presenter Tim Horn spoke at NGH Solid Gold on The Simpson Protocol. The Simpson Protocol helps us guide our clients to relax their conscious mind and allow the subconscious mind to do the work that creates lasting success within. He had the great quote:

"Selfishly care for yourself so when the time comes you can be there for others and be the best hypnotist."

This statement is very important for yourself and your clients. It’s easier to keep up than to catch up, so I always schedule consistent time to treat myself and step away from work. When I feel good, my clients pick up on that and it builds more confidence in your clients that you lead an emotionally successful life.

Don Mottin gave a very informative talk on Marketing To Corporations. It’s easy to swing into the extremes of marketing, doing the bare minimum or spending thousands on new strategies, but having a balanced marketing approach will be a key to your successful practice. Don covers how to identify your audience, and how best to market to them to create a healthy flow of clients.

And the smart and entertaining and Dan Candell taught "Multiple Streams of Income for Hypnotists" at NGH Solid Gold. He's shared how he made thousands of dollars by creating videos on his iPhone - no expensive video equipment required (although, yes to good audio and lighting). Get your content out there! Create solutions for others that make their lives better! Don’t let perfectionism prevent progress.

“Grow Your Practice by Focusing On Weight Loss” with Erika Flint

One person can change a life. Together we can create even more change,” was the opening line to my presentation. Weight loss guided me into the world of hypnotism through my own journey, and then exponentially helped me guide countless others through similar transformations. During the dawn of my practice I made weight loss my primary focus, and in 2016 I released my first book through Kindle, Reprogram Your Weight, which became an Amazon best seller, and has propelled my career to new heights. Because of its’ success, I am able to offer a certification course for the Reprogram Your Weight series for other hypnotists to incorporate into their own practices.

Special Shoutout to our Board Certified Grad!

Our awesome graduate Christian Skoorsmith complete his board certification at Solid Gold 2020! Way to go! Christian has been running a very successful and inclusive practice in Seattle, Washington. He has had great success with marriage preparation, sports performance, and supporting LGBTQ clients. He was named “Top 3 Hypnotherapy Services in Seattle,” and continues to excel in supporting the greater Seattle area. I’m so proud of what our graduates are doing!
